This Legit Coupon CAN’T be Used at Walgreens, and Here’s Why!

So you’re looking through your Sunday paper, and find a stack of manufacturer coupons that could really save you some money. Heck, it could even be a FREEBIE + moneymaker. You rush to the nearest retailer, particularly Walgreens, to use said coupon, but once the cashier begins to ring you up, they express their sincere apologies. You’re not allowed to use that coupon.

But….but…why not? It’s a legit coupon. You got it out of the Sunday newspaper. Makes no sense.

It’s lame, but it’s in their coupon policy.

If you bought this past Sunday’s newspaper, you may have found a $2.00/1 All detergent pacs. This is a great, high-value coupon. And you may think that this coupon is perfect for the $1.99 All detergent deal at Walgreens. But alas, your heart will be broken as their coupon policy states the following:

“Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.”

Coupon Policies are a great tool for couponers, and make it easier for transactions to move along.
