My house is a bit smaller than the last one we lived in. We don’t have stairs, a walk-out basement, or a fireplace. So I had to get a little more creative with decorating. Not only that, I had such a low budget. I mean super small.
Thankfully, I gathered and sifted through my holiday boxes (collecting dust in the attic) to come up with ideas. I came across ornaments, old star tree toppers and plush toys, which worked. However, I needed a little more. So here’s what I did, and what you should do too:
Find an 8×10 frame – thrift stores carry them for around $1/piece. I bought this white frame at Walmart for only $4. I then printed off a picture I created in a photo app (Merry & Bright) with Christmas colors – go red and green! Afterwards, I cut the paper to size to fit the frame.
The bookshelf that was located in my living room was moved to our front entry hallway. So I used the top of it to decorate the entryway. Nothing fancy in the least, but it gets the job done.
