DIY Halloween Spider and Web

I’ve never big huge into decorating for holidays…pretty much because I was lazy and figured that everything I was going to make, was going to end up into an epic FAIL. There were times that I had found something neat and went to make it, but then it turned out horrible! Ick!

But this year, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and get a little creative. I made spiders out of black balloons and black streamers. How, you ask? Check it out below:

I bought black and balloons and streamers for only $0.98 EACH and I was able to make up to 12 spiders. Some of the spiders have a big balloon for the body and a small blown-up balloon for the head.

I taped it on a corner book shelf. After I was finished, my 3 year old came up and pointed at it. “Ahh it’s a pider (spider)!!” Made me giggle a bit.

I tried to get an idea of how to make a web and realized that I had white yarn in my crafts box! SCORE!! This is my finished spider web. I thought it was pretty simplistic and looks decent. Didn’t take but maybe 10-15 minutes to do it all.

With the white string, I was able to lap it over to my spider, which I thought made it look pretty cool. I’m hoping to get more ideas to make this part of my home all Halloween-looking. If you have any great ideas, please be sure to share them in our comments below.

Happy Halloween!
