This past week, I lost 1.8 lbs
Last night, I had posted a status on Facebook, expressing my concern about my weigh-in, because I had “eaten well” this past week. With the Valentine’s Day date my amazing husband took me on, and the #DisneySide @Home Celebration party I hosted, the sweets and delicious treats were overflowing. Even though it was tempting, I refrained from overeating them…I did eat a few chocolates, along with a handful of chex mix and mini brownies. Nom nom nom, tasty! Despite these hurdles, I made sure to enjoy some yummy Nutrisystem fudge brownies for dessert.
When my husband took me to this nice restaurant in Springfield, I saw a little sign that said if you signed up for their weekly texts, you can get a FREE mini dessert right then and there. I couldn’t help but to at least try it out. For my mini dessert, I chose carrot cake…which came in a small mason jar, sprinkled with toasted coconut shavings. It…was..SO SO SO GOOD!!! It took real control to not eat it all at once. I took a few bites from it and stopped. *high-five*
Also, I bought a set of 4 dessert plates to help me portion size my meals. It seems when I use dinner plates, I put more food on there. I’ve noticed my husband sneaking the dessert plates for his meals….Methinks he may be trying to portion size as well. *giggles*
I’m excited to work on this weeks’ goal and continue my weight loss plan! Thanks to all who are sticking with me on my Nutrisystem Journey.
