Here is a list of free and inexpensive activities happening all across the USA. I hope you and your family can participate and have some {free or inexpensive} fun!

If you know of any others to share, please let us know! It is always best to call ahead and make sure that your local retailer is participating to avoid disappointment.


:: American Girl Store Events

Events differ by location and include 2014 Girl of the Year Debut party, Bitty Baby’s Story time, and crafts. Many of the American Girl in store events are free however some have a fee and some have age restrictions. Get the details here and find participating stores.

Saturday, January 11th from 11AM-3PM

Tuesday, January 7th at 5 PM

Visit a LEGO® Store and build a LEGO Snowplow model and take it home, for free. Quantities are limited and offer is good while supplies last. Models are not for sale and cannot be purchased. One free per child ages 6-14. Get more information here.


:: Michael’s Kids Club

Saturday, January 11th – starts at 10 AM

Kids make a mini-masterpiece painting. Suitable for kids ages 3 and up. The cost is $2 per child for a 30 minute reservation. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop. Sessions start every half hour starting at 10 am. Ending times vary by store. Get more information here.
