Cinnamon & Sugar Cream Cheese Roll Ups


1236457_420971664689656_1667298397_nI had a sweet tooth tonight and after looking through my food pantry and fridge, I thought cream cheese + bread = something delicious. How about Roll-Ups? Check it out!

What you will need:

1 loaf sliced bread, (you can have the crusts removed if you want)

1 egg yolk

1 package of cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup powdered sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 cup sugar

3/4 cup melted butter

Set your oven to 350 degrees. Flatten the bread either with your hands or a rolling pin (I did it with my hands). Mix your cream cheese, powdered sugar and egg yolk together until creamy. After you combine your sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, set it aside…you’ll want it later. Promise! 🙂 Spread the cream cheese mixture on the flattened bread and then roll them up. Dip the roll ups in butter, then the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place them on a cookie sheet and bake them for 15-20 minutes. Easy peasy. Be sure to let them cool down because the filling will be hot.

My husband mentioned possibly putting small apple slices in with the cream cheese mixture to make an apple pie roll up. I’m gonna have to try that next time!
